A Very English Breakfast
After my first good night's sleep in Europe, I finally felt refreshed when I woke up at seven in the morning to eat breakfast with my newfound friend, Eden. After quickly getting ready, Madeline, Aunt Molly, and I were downstairs for breakfast. I was very surprised when I walked up to the buffet to find different types of meat, fruit, and beans! After serving myself some food and dining with my Eden and my family, the group was off for a full day in London.

"Breakfast in England was weird because they have lots of meats and even beans. I had and apple, a pear, and two crepes."

An Excerpt from my Travel Journal: The Tube
"After breakfast we took the Tube at rush hour, which was crazy! We had to squeeze our way onto the train. It was definitely an adventure!"

To the left is one of my favorite pictures from the Tube. It features Madeline and I stuck against each other in the Tube during rush hour in London. I have never felt more squished in my life!

Billy the Beefeater
After our Tube adventure, the group finally made it to the Tower of London. After a quick buddy check, we got our tickets and suddenly found ourselves standing in front of massive castle on the beautiful grounds surrounding it. One of the reasons that Rick Steves was so great was how we almost never had to wait in line! Almost as soon as we got our tickets, we were inside the grounds of the tower. A tour lead by a 'Beefeater' was starting soon, so some of the people split up and into the hands of Billy Beefeater. He was a hilarious guide with all of the right jokes to have everybody in the crowd interested. After our wonderful tour, we explored some on our own. The Crown Jewels was an obvious highlight. All of my little girl princess fantasies were fulfilled as soon as I saw it. After a filling lunch and quick stop at the gift shop, our group was led away to the River Thames and were soon whisked away on a beautiful boat tour.
The Perfect Goodbye to London
For our last night in London we bought tickets to Phantom of the Opera. It was maginificent! Thanks to our tour guide, we had help picking out a show and finding a booth to buy the tickets. I had never seen the show before, so it was really a treat to see it in London, at the stage the play was originally written for. We went with Eden and her mother, Monica. It was the absolute best way to end a fantastic tour in London. If I ever have another chance, I would love to go back and see it again.
